The safety and security of our community is the City of Raleigh’s top priority. The Planning and Development Department is taking the current spread of COVID-19 very seriously and is committed to providing services for all current and active construction projects. To minimize exposure to both our staff and our customers, the department is obligated to follow CDC guidelines when providing requested field services such as inspections.

Until further notice, Planning and Development staff asks customers to help them maintain a safe social distance of at least six feet on construction sites. Social distancing is defined by the CDC as deliberately increasing the physical space between people to avoid spreading illness. Staff will strictly adhere to these guidelines and non-compliance on-site can result in denial of requested services.
