Things you need to know before registering for the Raleigh Permit + Development Portal.

  1. You must create a new account for the City of Raleigh—even if you use the Wake County permit portal. Your login information for the Wake County system will not work for the City of Raleigh Permit and Development Portal.
  2. If you have a technical issue when registering, call the helpline at 919-996-2501 or 919-996-2502. Do not call the helpline to schedule inspections. On Monday, July 8 you will be able to schedule inspections through the portal. All inspections between now and July 8 have already been scheduled. For post-registration questions, or to inform staff of an issue, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. This allows staff the time they need to properly investigate the issue and get back to you.
  3. Some registration confirmation emails are going into spam folders—please check all folders in your email account after registering.
The Permit + Development Portals will not be fully operational until July 8 when the Development Service Department reopens. Please note that account information may not appear in your portal until the center reopens.
